What We Offer

An Alternative Provision Offering Intervention Focused Support for Children and Young People Aged 6 to 16

Our Provision

Replenish Learning is a short-term, intervention-led Alternative Provision, commissioned to support children and young people whose needs cannot currently be met within mainstream or longer-term education settings.

Our offer is designed to stabilise, assess and intervene, enabling commissioning bodies and families to make informed decisions about the most appropriate next steps for each child.

Short-Term, Time-Limited Placements

Initial placements are typically offered for up to 12 weeks and are reviewed regularly. Placements are purposeful and time-limited, focusing on understanding presenting behaviours, identifying underlying needs, and implementing targeted interventions for both the child and their family.

Replenish Learning does not provide permanent placements. Our role is to support children during periods of difficulty and transition, not to replace long-term education.

Assessment and Targeted Intervention

During a placement, we focus on:

  • Assessing behavioural, emotional and learning needs
  • Delivering targeted, individualised interventions
  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement
  • Informing next steps through clear, evidence-based feedback

This approach ensures that interventions are meaningful, proportionate, and aligned with each child’s wider support network.

Education as a Complementary Support

All pupils are expected to return to full-time education or transition into an appropriate specialist placement in due course.

Educational input at Replenish Learning is delivered by qualified teachers and is provided as a supportive and complementary element to intervention work. This helps pupils:

  • Address gaps in learning
  • Maintain engagement with core subjects
  • Remain academically prepared for reintegration or transition
  • Learning includes core subject support alongside bespoke, interest-led projects, with opportunities for accreditation through the AQA Unit Award Scheme.
  • Replenish Learning does not replicate a school environment and does not replace a child’s statutory entitlement to full-time education.
  • Individualised 1:1 Support

All pupils receive 1:1 support during their placement. This reflects:

  • The complexity of need
  • Safeguarding requirements
  • The importance of relationship-based, trauma-informed practice
  • This approach allows for close supervision, consistency, and highly personalised support.
  • Multi-Agency and Family Support

Replenish Learning works collaboratively with families and partner agencies, including:

  • Local Authorities and commissioning bodies
  • Social Care and FAST teams
  • Physical Disabilities Teams
  • Speech and Language Therapy services

We also support and submit:

  • EHCP requests
  • Neurodivergent assessment referrals

In addition, we offer in-house counselling for pupils and parents and provide structured support to families navigating the challenges of supporting a neurodivergent child.

Commissioning and Statutory Responsibilities

All placements are governed by formal commissioning agreements, which clearly state that Replenish Learning does not assume responsibility for a child’s full-time education.

Statutory education duties remain with the commissioning body at all times.
